GAMMA RAY RELEASING “EMPIRE OF THE UNDEAD” IN MARCH 2014

The new album 'Empire Of The Undead' - OUT March 28th 2014!

It's more or less done, the wait is over. Finally, the 11th studio album from GAMMA RAY "Empire Of The Undead" is almost done and ready to go.

"Empire Of The Undead" the fast metal song in the typical GAMMA RAY style that has influenced so many bands around the world, has appeared on the single / EP "Master Of Confusion" an appetizer the band released in 2013, just before touring the world non-stop with "relatives" Helloween.

GAMMA RAY worked on the new album during various sessions in 2013, during and in between their perennial tour with Eike Freese at the mixing desk supporting the ever precious work of bass player and co-writer Dirk Schlaechter.

It was just after landing in South America, that a unbelievable news reached Kai Hansen & co.: Hammer Studio, their home, rehearsal place, studio and meeting point for many metal bands in Germany had been blown away by a terrifying fire-stroke, together with instruments, amps, tapes... Back in their hometurf the band needed to get an overview about their losses only to do what they do best -- move on! With that usual Kai Hansen smirk look...

Life is too good to stop and moan.

Nearly everything was destroyed, except the tapes of the almost finished new studio album.
"If this could not stop us... nothing ever will" -- joked Kai Hansen - who also added. "

"We got rid of a lot of shit that we gathered there. Unfortunately a lot of good equipment as well. Anyhow, we look into the future and we saved the production and we can continue now in this new place. By mid January we should be done with the work on this album and it's up to the record company to release it -- sometime in March.

European Tour 2014, Sepultura, Legion of The Damned, Flotsam and Jetsam, Mortillery

Happy Metal New Year

Hi everybody.

A new year begins, new proyects and new wishes are made, since too many time ago i dont write anything here, simply i lost the inspiration, or the desire to go further with this.... its not a project, simply a hobby i had, but, because of time, or lack of ideas, i didnt do anything else... but, one of my new years purpose, its go back with this blog, because i like to write about Musik, about Rock and Metal, a passion i had, since i was almost a Kid.

I decided to take this hobby again, becaue some peple, or followers from the blog, asked me sometimes, "Hey, why you dont write more in your blog? You dont do your reviews any longer".. and things like that, its very pleasefull to see when some of you writme in my FB, send me a Friendsrequest and told me "I saw your blog, could you add me?" or "Hey, i am fan of your publications and i want to be your friend".  Its something nice. Some of you send me constantly your Demos or Videos of your bands asking me to listen to it and give them my opinion, or help them to distribuite it, or simply make a post about those bands, i almost never did it, but thanks, i will do it this year, i promise it.

And too because i knew some Metalheads, who told me that they read my Wacken review (i only made one, in 2010, then i never did it again) and they decided to go Wacken because i inspired them to do it, because the way i wrote about it, and its nice too when i found some of them there in Wacken (in 2012 and 2013 i knew some people there) and they ask me if i can take me a foto with them... hehehe... Thats pretty cool, i have to admit it. For those and other reasons, i am going back to this "Holy Hell", and... i have some new ideas, some people asked me to make videos, but its not my style, to make a video of me and publish it... it s not a good idea, i dont have that kind of charisma, i like to write.. its better.

Ok pals... i wish you a nice 2014. and keep in touch, i will bring you what its happening in this side of the Ocean.... and Keep Rocking..

Cheers !!

Sorry about the language, but i decided to write principally in English, no matter if i am not good on it.... hahaha

Wacken 2013 Es Historia

Saludos Bandera.

Stratovarius - Drummer Wanted

Drummer wanted!

We have now played the final Latin America gigs with Jörg Michael, who is leaving the band after 16 years. 2011 started with the release of the "Elysium" album and was a long year with a long world tour together with Helloween. After some time off, we are now looking to the future, composing material for the next album, and we are also looking for the next drummer.

We have some great candidates already, but since we have a bit of time, we decided to also cast a wider net to see what comes up. So, if you have some touring and recording experience, are - more important - musical and hard hitting, and - most important - a nice dude, you might be the one we are looking for!

If you think this sounds like you, playing in a world famous metal band for a living sounds like something you'd enjoy, and if you want us to listen, please put on some headphones and record a video of yourself playing any of these three Stratovarius songs: Coming Home, Father Time or Deep Unknown. You can for instance upload them to youtube.

Send the video links and a short letter with your personal information to this email address: drummer@stratovarius.com

What do you have to lose? The world awaits you! Plus money, fame, great times, and all the beer you can drink.

With best regards,
Jens, Lauri, Matias and Timo

February 10th, 2012 :: NEXT INFORMATION ABOUT NEW ALBUM
10 lutego, 2012 :: KOLEJNE INFORMACJE O NOWYM ALBUMIE
CRYSTAL VIPER, will release their new album titled "Crimen Excepta" on April 27 (in Europe) and April 24 (in United States) via AFM Records - release date for Japan will be announced very soon. The concept effort about holy inquisition, black magic and witches, where fiction is mixed with historical facts, has been produced by Bart Gabriel (SACRED STEEL, JACK STARR'S BURNING STARR) and recorded with sound engineer Mariusz Pietka (MORTICIAN, LONEWOLF), is the heaviest and most dark album CRYSTAL VIPER ever did. There will be two special guests on "Crimen Excepta": David Bower, vocalist of HELL appear in the title track, while VADER mainman Peter will be heard in the cover version of the classic VADER song "Tyrani Piekiel", which will be available as the bonus track on the first, limited edition of the album. So most probably CRYSTAL VIPER is the first ever Heavy Metal band, which re-arranged and recorded Death Metal cover song. "We already announced that fans should expect the unexpected. The new album is different than everything CRYSTAL VIPER did in the past. Of course it's still traditonal Metal, and it's still CRYSTAL VIPER - but this time, everything was different, starting from the compositions, through our attitude and inspirations, up to equipment we used and the recording session itself" says CRYSTAL VIPER frontwoman Marta Gabriel. "It was amazing to have Peter in the studio, we all are huge fans of VADER, and I think he was also amazed when he heard how our voices sound together in this Heavy Metal version of "Tyrani Piekiel". And when you will hear the lines of William The Judge recorded by David of HELL, you will have jaw on the floor. We had." she adds.

Edguy, Ageof The Joker European Tour 2011

Misfits
special guest: Neon Kross
Einlass: 20.00 Uhr

"It started as a twisted dream"... 30 years ago in a small town in New Jersey called Lodi. It was there in April of 1977, at the dawn of the punk movement, that the Misfits were born. Taking the title of Marilyn Monroe's last movie as their name in a move to immortalize her image - singer Glenn Danzig and bassist Jerry Only set out to make an impression. They wound up making history and creating a legacy that's power has not only stood the test of time, but also transcended into an entirely new generation. Lineup changes followed and by early 1980, the band coalesced around co-founders, Glenn Danzig and Jerry Only along with guitarist Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein (Jerry's youngest brother). Throughout the span of their career, the Misfits audience has developed into an army of "fiends" (the term for die hard Misfits fans) generating more interest today than ever before.
From its inception the music was primitive punk rock, harsh and to the point. Yet that aggression was complimented with a strong sense of melody inspired by the roots of rock and roll bred in the 1950's. What further separated the band from their hard-core peers of the 70's punk scene was their inspired fixation on horror movies. It was from that inspiration that they created an entire world out of a passion for the genre. Utilizing B-movie-style artwork, the band appeared with slick, black "devil lock" hairstyles and horror make-up. The Misfits cast a fiendish aura of mystery embodied by ghoulish charm and landed themselves a massive cult following. That following continues to expand world wide on a daily basis. The "Fiend Skull", (an icon that is the official symbol of the group), was once crudely painted on their equipment, leather jackets and everything the band could get their hands on, yet now it can be found on a limitless amount of merchandise carried in stores throughout the world.
After a split with Danzig in the mid 1980's and a decade long legal battle, The Misfits were resurrected by founding member Jerry Only returning stronger than ever with "AMERICAN PSYCHO", released in May of 1997 on Geffen Records. Only states: "We tightened everything up as much as possible. Sticking to our punk roots, the longest song on the album is three minutes and nine cuts are under two. We've still got the classic backup vocals, the '50s sounding chord progressions, the different beats - 4/4 time can turn into a major thrash beat in the same song. But the sound of our instrumentation is so much better than on our previous records. We worked really hard."
"AMERICAN PSYCHO" reestablished them as one of the most aggressive outfits in music and spoke volumes about their influence on many of today's rock acts. From neo-punk bands Green Day, Rancid, Blink 182 and Good Charlotte to metal acts Metallica, Pantera and Slayer to hard rockers such as Slipknot, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Guns n Roses (who covered the classic Misfits song "Attitude") and more recently; My Chemical Romance (who covered the classic Misfits song “Astro Zombies” for the soundtrack to “Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland” video game). The Misfits have inspired many musicians and much of the music people are watching on TV and hearing on the radio today. Metallica emerged as one of the band's strongest supporters wearing Misfits T-shirts on stage and even covering three of their songs on the double CD set entitled "Garage Days Revisited". The centerfold section of the "Garage Days" booklet even spotlights the Misfits as a key influence on Metallica's music. Further, there have been many Misfits tribute CDs released over the past several years featuring contemporary artists covering the bands back catalog. Asked why this hunger for all things Misfits endured, bassist and founding member Jerry Only ventures: "I think we filled a niche. We stuck to what we did, and we did it well. We never tried to pull something over on people - we just tried to entertain 'em while rocking 'em real hard. Besides, I think the love of the horror art form has endured.
"The music videos for the 1997 Geffen release ("Dig Up Her Bones" & "American Psycho" directed by John Cafiero) could not only be found on music television outlets throughout the world but even on the big screen. Theatrical screenings ran in film festivals both in and outside the U.S. garnering "Best of Fest" nods as well as award nominations from the Horror Writers Association. The videos also created a stronghold in the then, uncharted territory of online entertainment. They have been repeatedly on the top of the charts, listed as the "most downloaded videos on the net" with online outlets like Sonicnet. For several weeks the Misfits "American Psycho" video was listed on the Sonicnet chart at #2, book-ended by Backstreet Boys videos at #1 & #3. Over all the "Psycho" video remained in the top 5 for nearly a year while videos from many chart-topping acts quickly came and went.
1999 brought the follow up to the second coming of the Misfits "FAMOUS MONSTERS", released in Oct. 1999 on Roadrunner records. The record went on to become the biggest selling title ever for Roadrunner Japan. The supporting music video "Scream" (which featured the band as zombies) was directed by George A. Romero (Night of the Living Dead) who offered his services in exchange for two original Misfits songs to be featured (along with the band itself) in his film "Bruiser". Prior to that, the Misfits appeared as themselves (along with ICP, The Jerky Boys and WWF's Mick Foley to name a few) in director John Cafiero's feature film debut "Big Money Hustlas". The film debuted in the number one spot on the billboard video sales charts where it remained for several weeks.
Thematically, the bands music continues to focus on time-honored Misfits interests: "Vampires, monsters, alien invasion, Frankenstein - we are the Misfits after all," warns Jerry. Of the band's refusal to address weightier issues, he explains: "People who buy our records and come to see us perform - from the guy all the way back in the balcony, to the guy getting his head banged around in the front - they come to have a good time. And we make sure they do, you can hear about social and political issues somewhere else. When you come to a Misfits show, you get a bunch of guys who go out there and give 110 percent (they've been known to rip through 55 songs a night) take it or leave it. That's what we have always been. At a show, everyone's just part of the crowd there's no them and us - we're all us.

Anspruch: Gaaanz geschmeidige Gewalt.

(ohne Wertung)

Aussagen: "Legions marching/ Ready to fire/ These streets will burn/ Let the black flag ride". (8)

Molotov, Markthalle Hamburg 7 Juni 2011

MOLOTOV, die mexikanische CrossoverBand,
oft auch als die mexikanischen “Rage Against
The Machine” bezeichnet, gründete sich 1995.
letzten
