Auf "7 Sinners" geben Deutschlands Vorzeigemetaller Helloween aber so richtig Gas und machen ihrem Ruf als melodische Speedster einmal mehr alle Ehre. Und die Tracks sind dabei nicht nur ziemlich schnell, sondern auch noch so richtig heavy und stellenweise ganz schön finster. Obwohl Helloween ja auch für ihren Humor bekannt sind ist der Sound alles adere als Happy Metal, wobei einem die starken Melodien und griffigen Refrains immer wieder ein (böses) Lächeln aufs Gesicht zaubern. Auch ungewohnte Soundeffekte und kleine Klangspielerein sorgen für (heftige) Freunde beim Zuhören. Was da teilweise an Instrumentalogien abgeht hat schon was.

En resumen, no literalmente, lo que comentan sobre el disco de "7 Sinners" es que Helloween ha sabido darle buena potencia, velocidad y melodía a la música que han compuesto, las canciones no son sólo bastante rápidas sino que también lo suficientemente pesadas y de cierta forma, maravillosamente oscuras, si bien es cierto que Helloween es conocido por ser un grupo que hace "Happy Metal", las partes del disco que son más duras logran que el escucha sonría maliciosamente de satisfacción. Todo el trabajo contiene pequeños efectos de sonido inusuales que son de resaltar y que le dan otra perspectiva a la música.
Al parecer el disco sin ser un regreso a sus raices, tal parece que es una obra de Power Metal Melódico bastante balanceada, con canciones alegres y a su vez rápidas, pesadas y un tanto oscuras, esperemos que en realidad así sea el disco, cuando menos sigan en una línea ascendente a lo que nos otorgaron con sus dos últimos trabajos, contando ahora con una alineación estable, que viene trabajando junta desde los dos últimos discos, podemos pensar que este puede ser una gran entrega del grupo.

Hago un paréntesis en este espacio, encontré una reseña bastante buena del disco en el sitio de www.perfectgentlemen.com, el antíguo sitio oficial de la banda, yo apenas lo estoy escuchando, y, aunque me suena bastante bueno, creo que no es lo máximo que ha dado Helloween.
Where the sinners go - Really like the riff, and the song is, altogether, pretty cool actually. The chorus is alright and the part where Andi goes "..where the sinners, sinners, sinners.." after 3.00 is awesome.
Are you metal? - Very good riff here, too. I like the melodies in the verses and the chorus is good, the only thing I dislike in this song is the transition between verse/bridge. Andi's screaming around 2.10 is great. Same goes for the ending.
Who is Mr. Madman? - My favorite. Fast, aggressive and melodic. Verses are really good, the guitarwork is awesome. Dani's drumming is excellent. Bridge is great and the chorus is a fucking masterpiece. Love the solo, too. Solo riffs are solid. Too much praise? Nah.
Raise the noise - Good opening riffs. Heavy. All in all not too catchy. It's not bad, it's just not very interesting. Having a hard time deciding if the flute is a superb addition or really lame. I used to play that sort of flute though, so I'm pretty disappointed no one gave me a call.
World of fantasy - The beginning sounds like a Swedish tune with lyrics going something like this: "I'm gonna give you a lick with my razor tongue". I hate that song, but hey. Heavy stuff after that. Sounds kinda like a schlager song, which doesn't really appeal to me all that much. Not a skipper, though. The part after 3.13 is really good, and so is the solo. The end is a huge piece of schlager crap.
Long live the king - Now we're talking. Great riffs, great drumming. Really like the chorus. Simple, fast, heavy. Don't know what to say about the scatman thing after 2.30, but that's ok. Haha. Very good song.
The smile of the sun - Cheeeeeeeeeeesy. Gets better, though. Somehow reminds me of "If I Knew", though that song's a lot better. But this is not a bad tune.
You stupid mankind - Opening riffs are good. Melodies are ok. Very different chorus, which I like. It's...a bit weird, but that's alright. Solos are good. Yep, I like this. Only thing I don't like is when the vocals go "unive-erse" and "e-earth".
If a mountain could talk - So they woke up the mountain back in the day and here we are..? The keyboard licks are a nice touch. Is this a follow up on Eagle fly free, Mission Motherland and Mankind, lyrically? Hehe. The chorus kinda gets me confused, it has potential but never really makes it. Kinda borders on cheesiness. And the lyrics may cover an important subject, but they're silly. The song definitely beats Raise the noise, World of fantasy and The smile of the sun.
The sage, the fool, the sinner - Opens nicely, sweet guitar stuff. Awesome Weiki vocal melodies. All over the nations, Salvation, The tune... Weiki delivers and I love it. The verses are the best part.
My sacrifice - Really REALLY like this. Dani's drumming is magnificent, his off-beat stuff is awesome. The vocal melodies give me a little musical orgasm. The intermission around 3.55 is great, and so is the rest of the song.
Not yet today - Waste of space and time (haha, see the word game? I rule). Sounds like a church service prayer that should be read instead of sung.
Far in the future - So, how's the disc gonna end? Apparently with pretty heavy shit, partly, but the song as a whole isn't that great. Kinda delivers highs and lows and will definitely not be a skipper.

Les dejo un video de la banda en la que hablan sobre el disco nuevo "7 Sinners", dicho video fue grabado a mitad de la grabación del álbum, en los estudios "Mi Sueño" en Tenerife España, propiedad de Michael Weikath, en el cual Andi Deris comenta que para todos aquellos que no les gustó y maldecían el último disco "Unarmed", éste nuevo disco sería total y absolutamente Rápido y Duro, también que en este otro post que ya subí vienen las letras del disco, en la liga pueden ir al post.
